Women’s Health
Hormones affect everything from our moods, weight, skin, energy levels, fertility, and stress resilience. There are many reasons why hormones can get out of balance and cause problems, the western diet for example, has a lot to answer for!
That being the case, there are many small adjustment to diet and habits that can make a huge difference, often without the need for medication.
Hormones fluctuate all the time, some of that can’t be helped, but when the checks and balances break down we experience symptoms from PMS, abnormal periods, endometriosis, PCOS, fertility issues, insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome , hot flushes, fatigue, cravings, lowered metabolism, unexplained weight gain and mood swings.
There are certain times in a woman’s life where this is more prevalent, Puberty, pregnancy, post child birth and menopause, but it can happen to anyone anytime!
Many of us accept that being a woman entails a certain amount of discomfort and inconvenience, but I’m here to tell you, you don’t have to! Every day should be a good day, not one hampered by low motivation, energy or pain.
Your body can’t thrive when things are out of balance. As Alisa Vitti says in her book The Woman Code, “We fall out of sync with our lives – out of the zone of possibility, and away from our life’s purpose.”
Free yourself from the monthly ups and downs, mood swings and lack of motivation. Get your hormones working for you, not against you! You don’t have to put up with it!
